Heart Shaped Hand warmers

Hey everybody! in honor of Valentine's day, i have a valentine's project! this is it: Heart shaped hand warmers! they are so cute! ok let's get to the tutorial!

ingredients:
felt(you can use probably as much as three colors, but the tutorial i saw use just one color)
scissors
fabric marker(i ended up use a sharpie so it doesnt matter that much)
embroidery thread
darning needle
rice
lavender or essential oils(optional. i used lavender)

step one:Make a template. You simply have to do the traditional fold paper in half, and cut an ice cream cone thing. make yours a tiny bit bigger than how big your handwarmers will be. i cut mine a little too deep in the middle and just didn't trace it perfectly at the top. then if you are doing three colors or whatever, you trace lines in the middle.

step two: cut them all out. not a lot of instructions just cut them out.

step three: position them so they are in the order you want. this is only necessary if you are doing multiple colors.

step four: sew them by hand. i got my embroidery thread and sewed those three pieces together. i did it kind of messy on purpose.

step five: now sew the two pieces that fit together the best. but obviously only do it 3/4 of the way. then stick that funnel in there and start spooning that rice in there. i did it and filled it most of the way but left a bit empty sew i could sew. haha. that was funny. you just laughed.

step 6: sew it the rest of the way and you are done! warm them up for 20 to 30 seconds and they are ready to go in your pockets!

Happy valentines day!!!
